Nigel Rouch
Committee Role: Chairperson
Company: TDG UK Ltd
Job Title: Senior Project Manager SSC

Biography: Nigel has held numerous positions in IT, Finance and Operations.
Responsible for implementing a number of strategic projects for across a number of industries, currently reporting the Accounting Services Director of TDG, supporting a significant change programme within the Accounts Payable function.
TDG use a number of Bottomline Technologies application portfolio, and they are now integral to TDG finance function.

As Chair of the User Group, Nigel is keen to ensure that the user community play a significant role in helping to develop the future of the Bottomline application suite and to facilitate the delivery of a “value add group” in these challenging economic times.    


Phil Mullins
Committee Role: Secretary
Company: Virgin Media
Job Title: Payments Manager

Biography: Phil is the Payments Manager for Virgin Media. Phil has been with the company, (previously working for ntl prior to the ntl / Telewest merger and subsequent re-brand to Virgin Media) for over 11 years, working in numerous management roles within Billing, Payments Processing or Collections, however a key theme across the roles has been transformation and process and system enhancement, working closely with IT operational teams. Phil was involved in the initial setup of WebSeries in ntl and in the migration to, and upgrade of the Telewest setup of WebSeries to version 4, as well as numerous enhancements and improvements since. WebSeries is used to collect all Virgin Media customer Direct Debit payments, and for Virgin Media Supplier payments and payroll. Further Bottomline products and services are currently being seriously considered. Phil is secretary of the user group, and hopes to be able to commit much greater time to the group this year, to enable it to achieve its goals.


Stephen Walker

Company: Trinity Mirror plc
Job Title: IT Director, Trinity Mirror Shared Services

Biography: Steve has worked in numerous roles in IT, including Operational Management, Consultancy, Project Management, Systems Auditing and Information Security, over a period of 25 years. He is currently responsible for deploying and supporting Finance, Procurement, Payment and HR / Payroll systems across Trinity Mirror. Bottomline products form a key part of the Trinity Mirror application portfolio; WebSeries, Formscape, Covus and Tranmit products are all used to support the purchase to pay process and the transmission of all collections and payments files to BACS.

As Chair of the User Group, Steve is committed to seeing the Group grow by demonstrating the benefits of membership e.g. through knowledge sharing, running Special Interest Groups and the provision of constructive feedback to Bottomline regarding services, support and software.


Helen Landsbury

Company: Pearson Shared Services
Job Title: Accounts Payable manager

Biography: Helen is the Accounts Payable manager for Pearson Shared Services based in Harlow Essex, she has been with the company for 10 years. Helen’s team provide the accounts payables for 5 Pearson companies. The main operating companies they work for are publishing businesses with large production departments.

Over 6 years ago Pearson Shared Services started to look at ways to reduce the data entry within their processes due to the large volumes of invoices coming through, they implemented Scanning and OCR extraction with Bottomline in 2005.

Helen has been part of the user group for over a year..


Tim Eustace
Committee Role: Bottomline Liaison
Company: Bottomline Technologies
Job Title: General Manager, Service Delivery

Biography: Tim manages the Implementation and Support groups at Bottomline Europe, which comprise 55 people working in the field and 3 Bottomline UK office locations. Tim has been at Bottomline for 5 years and started the User Group in 2006, with the help of Eddie Saunders (Telewest), Steve Walker (Trinity Mirror), Steve Shipp (TDG) and Diane Beddingfield (CIS).
